Who we are
Synergy was founded by a group of educators and parents who recognized the need for a high-quality bilingual homeschool enrichment option.
Partnering with ERBOCES (East River BOCES), Synergy provides homeschool families with tuition-free educational enrichment, while parents remain their child’s primary educators.
Our team brings together expertise in Montessori philosophy, ecology, science, design, and bilingual education, creating a learning environment where children learn not just what to think — but how to learn, lead, and connect.
Through our partnership with ERBOCES, students receive access to classes, materials, and enrichment opportunities at no cost to families, funded through state education programs.
Vision & Mission
Synergy Homeschool Enrichment is a specialized bilingual program (English–Russian) created to support, supplement, and empower homeschooling families.
Our mission is to walk side by side with parents, providing students with the best of both worlds — the creativity, structure, and community of an enrichment school combined with the freedom and individuality of home education.
At Synergy, we believe education is most powerful when it reflects collaboration between family, educators, and community. Our goal is to nurture curious, capable, and confident young minds through project-based learning, bilingual communication, and hands-on exploration of the world around us.
Our Educational Approach
Synergy serves students from Kindergarten through Grade 12, offering a blended, Montessori-inspired model that emphasizes:
Bilingual learning (English–Russian) across all subjects
Hands-on exploration of nature, science, art, and culture
Mixed-age classrooms that promote leadership and mentorship
Student choice during morning work cycles for deeper engagement
Collaborative, project-based education connecting academic subjects to real life
Our Lead Instructor’s background in biology and ecology enhances our science and nature programs, while partnerships with local professionals and creative mentors enrich the student experience.
Attendance & Format
Synergy students participate in structured, in-person enrichment sessions one day per week.
Families retain full responsibility for their homeschool curriculum, while Synergy provides a supportive framework of classes, workshops, and projects that meet state homeschool guidelines.
Each enrolled student completes a minimum number of instructional hours per semester through Synergy activities. Regular attendance helps ensure that students benefit from the continuity, rhythm, and community of the program.
Families from any district may apply. Enrollment priority is given to students within the ERBOCES service area.
