Frequently asked questions
What is the Synergy Homeschool Enrichment Program?
Synergy HEP is a bilingual enrichment program designed to support homeschooling families with a balanced blend of academic structure, creativity, and community.
We combine project-based learning, cultural immersion, and small-group collaboration — nurturing both intellect and character.
In what language it will be?
Our program is bilingual (English–Russian). The goal is to help children think, express, and learn confidently in both languages.
Certain classes are fully in English, others in Russian, and some integrate both to strengthen comprehension and communication.
What ages of students can join?
We serve students in Kindergarten through 12th grade (K–12) using a blended curriculum inspired by Montessori principles.
Our approach focuses on fostering responsibility, curiosity, and ownership over learning.
In our mixed-age classrooms, students learn at their own pace and often look to older peers as mentors, encouraging natural collaboration and leadership.
Children can choose their activities during the morning work cycle, promoting active engagement and inquiry.
Is it online or in person?
The Synergy program is designed as an in-person enrichment experience with select online workshops and parent resources available.
Our goal is to create a real community where children can collaborate, move, create, and connect beyond the screen.
How much does it cost?
The Synergy Homeschool Enrichment Program is tuition-FREE for families.
Our program is funded through partnerships with approved homeschool education providers such as ERBOCES, ensuring that your child can access quality bilingual education at no direct cost to you.
Families simply enroll in Synergy through their homeschool program or umbrella school to participate.
What is the education format like?
Our format blends:
Core academic enrichment (language arts, math foundations, science, and social studies)
Creative development (art, design, music, performing arts)
Practical and emotional learning (project work, teamwork, emotional intelligence, bilingual communication)
Learning happens through projects, workshops, and guided exploration, rather than traditional classroom lectures.
How many subjects are covered?
Students explore 4–6 integrated subjects, depending on age and group level.
Each term focuses on an interdisciplinary theme — for example, “Nature & Design” or “Cultures Around the World” — blending science, art, language, and social understanding.
How many times per week do classes meet?
Most groups meet 1 time per week for 6 hours of structured sessions, plus optional workshops and community events.
This schedule complements your home learning plan and allows flexibility for family priorities and travel.
Is this program only for homeschoolers?
